Episode 1 teaser: “Rain or shine, we were going to have that coffee – even if it meant swimming through half the city!”

Episode 1: Coffee, Chaos, and the Monsoon Waltz

The weather gods must have had a secret WhatsApp group titled “Rain on Their Parade” because the very day that Me, Mini, and Nimmi decided to meet for coffee, the rain decided to audition for a Bollywood monsoon song.

Mini, the eternal optimist, had planned this meetup like a military operation—Google Maps, umbrellas, backup umbrellas, and waterproof mascara. She even Whats-Apped the group: “Don’t worry girls, we’ll weather this together. Literally!”

Nimmi, on the other hand, is the kind who never leaves home without checking the weather app, which, by the way, she checks as if she’s decoding the Rosetta Stone. She pinged us: “Guys, it’s showing rain for the next three hours, but I’m up for it. We’re not made of sugar, right?”

I was just there for the coffee and the laughs. I couldn’t care less if I had to row a boat to the cafe.

When we finally met, we were the definition of ‘drenched but determined.’ Mini’s hair looked like it was auditioning for a shampoo commercial gone wrong, Nimmi’s raincoat was bright yellow (think traffic cone chic), and I… let’s just say my eyeliner had given up and decided to explore new territories down my cheeks.

But did that stop us? No way. We laughed like pirates in a storm, ordered the strongest cappuccinos, and even managed to take a selfie that perfectly captured our “Monsoon Queens” vibe.

Moral of the story: when the city’s drenched, the coffee’s hot, and your friends are as crazy as you are, even the worst rains can’t dampen your spirits.
