In a world where social media often glorifies extravagance and impulsivity, it’s important to remember that being grounded and level-headed as a teenager should always be considered glamorous. I always draw lessons from my own childhood. Though we did not have these influences but then there were the ‘expectations’ and the ‘desires’ in place – quite too often and the wish to ‘keep up with the joneses’ so to say. Yet the confidence of being myself and the self-assuredness from my family – my parents that what I was doing was amazing and so unique – always had my back and my emotional well-being.
The flashy displays of wealth and fame helped many even then to garner attention, but true beauty and elegance I realised was always in qualities such as humility, wisdom, and a strong sense of self.
Being grounded means having a firm foundation in who you are and what you stand for. It means being rooted in your values and beliefs, and not easily swayed by external pressures or trends. A grounded teenager is someone who is self-assured, confident, and comfortable in their own skin. They are not afraid to be authentic and true to themselves, even if it means going against the grain.
Being level-headed goes hand in hand with being grounded. It means approaching life with a calm and rational mindset, even in the face of challenges or adversity. A level-headed teenager is able to think critically, make informed decisions, and navigate complex situations with grace and composure.
So why should being grounded and level-headed be considered glamorous? Because these qualities are timeless and enduring. They are the foundation upon which success, happiness, and fulfilment are built. While fleeting trends may come and go, the allure of a grounded and level-headed teenager will never fade.
Furthermore, being grounded and level-headed can set you apart from your peers in a positive way. In a world where drama and chaos often seem to reign supreme, being the calm and steady presence in the room can be incredibly attractive. People are naturally drawn to those who exude confidence and stability, and being grounded and level-headed can help you stand out in a crowd.
Being grounded and level-headed also lays the groundwork for future success. The ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and stay true to yourself are all qualities that will serve you well in life. Whether you’re navigating the challenges of adolescence or preparing for the responsibilities of adulthood, being grounded and level-headed will always be in vogue.
I have seen firsthand in my life and through my upbringing of my young son that being grounded and level-headed as a teenager should always be considered and portrayed to be glamorous. These qualities are not only attractive and admirable, but they also form the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life.
I always continue even today to advise my students, and my teachers whom I train that they should all refrain from thinking that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. It may seem so, but we do not know the challenges and the trials, burdens or hardships being faced by the next individual.
Thus, embracing your own authenticity, staying true to yourself, and remembering that authentic glamour comes from within is the only thing which will keep you protected from the make-belief demons of “I am ugly, I lack appeal, I am not ‘in’ or cool, I have flaws” and so. And real, balanced, and true to oneself will never be out of fashion!!!

This blog is an exact representation of the side effect of social media.Social media firms have split, sliced, and sold time in order to advertise their own products. Some entrepreneurs will tally up all the time taken from the young generation and label it a metric called ‘user engagement’.
The value of being oneself and grounded is one among the most precious gift to young generation…
